FAQ

WHO ARE WE?

We are a New Testament, independent, non-denominational church. We use the name of Christians only. We avoid opinions, creeds, and social trends. We seek to follow the pattern of the early Church in God's plan of Salvation:

1. Hearing and believing the gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Romans 10:17

2. Repentance of our sins. Luke 13:3,5, Acts 2:38

3. Confession that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of the Living God. Matthew 10:32

4. Immersion under water for the forgiveness of our sins and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, to rise to walk in newness of life. Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16, 1Peter 3:21

5. Remaining faithful to the Lord's teachings and always abounding in the work of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

We meet every Lord's Day for the Apostles' Doctrine, the Lord's Supper, fellowship, and prayer. Acts 2:42

The Leadership is made up Elders and the Evangelist to oversee spiritual matters. Deacons serve under their direction.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

There is one God. He is the Creator and Master of all. He reveals Himself in the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:3-6, Colossians 1:15-19, Philippians 2:5-11, and John 15:26

Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. He offered Himself up on the cross so that we could have our sins forgiven. He experienced a bodily resurrection and ascended into Heaven at the Father's right hand. There He intercedes for us as our High Priest and is preparing a place for us. He will return for His Church at which time we will also resurrect to a new body and ascend to Heaven for eternity. Until that day, He left us with His Holy Spirit. John 3:16, Luke 24:1-8, Acts 1:1-11, 1Thessalonians 4:3-18.

The Holy Spirit is the Promised Counselor and Helper. He comforts, guides, convicts, intercedes, and seals us until the day of our redemption. John 14:16-17, John 16:7-10, Romans 8:26-27, Ephesians 1:13-14

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. it is the Absolute Authority that guides us in His will of our lives. II Timothy 2:16-17

We are saved by grace when we believe in Christ, repent of our sins, confess the Name of Our Lord, and are immersed for the forgiveness of our sins and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:10, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, and all conversions in Acts.

We will receive eternal life in Heaven if we remain faithful and obedient to the teachings of Christ and His Church. Colossians 1:21-23, Matthew 10:32-33

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING US

When you visit our congregation, you can expect to receive a friendly greeting from our people. We are plain, simple people who love the Lord. Some of us dress casually and some more formally. As you walk in you will receive a bulletin and sermon notes if you wish to take them.

Our worship service is a blend of old hymns and modern praise songs.

We partake of the Lord's supper weekly and we hold both the bread and juice and partake at the same time.
